The H.O.T. (High Output Turbo) version was first offered in 1999 with the release of the new 9-3 model. This car is on loan to the museum from Tom’s son Nate, who is a former Special Forces (Green Beret). Nate made extensive modifications to the engine (TD04 Turbo) and body, giving it a unique ‘Viggen’ type appearance. The car was totaled in a snow storm in 2015. The car was restored in 2015-16 while Nate was deployed in the combat zone of a Iraq. Special ‘overhauling video’ was made revealing the car to Nate upon his return. (He had no idea Tom was having it restored.)
